The cost of IAFF Peer Support Training varies depending on the format. Here is a breakdown of each option.
Virtual training
Virtual Peer Support Training sessions are scheduled periodically throughout the year and require registration through the IAFF member portal at my.iaff.org. You must be logged in with your IAFF username and password to register.
Registration fees, if any, are listed on the event registration page at the time of sign-up. Contact the IAFF at iaff.org/contact-us (select Education) if you have questions about current pricing before registering.
In-person training
In-person trainings are hosted by IAFF Locals or affiliated fire departments. The host site determines whether a registration fee applies. You are also responsible for your own travel expenses.
Contact the host Local directly for pricing information.
Advanced training
Advanced Peer Support courses — including Disaster Response Peer Support and Safety Planning Intervention for Suicide Prevention — are available at no cost through the IAFF Online Learning Center at my.iaff.org.
Prerequisites apply: you must first complete the online Behavioral Health Awareness course and the standard IAFF Peer Support Training.
