Energy Efficiency

The IAFF partnered with UL Fire Safety Research Institute, FSRI, and UL Solutions to conduct fire tests on residential exterior wall systems designed to increase the energy performance of a home or multi-family structure. This project was initiated and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy in an effort to identify exterior wall assemblies that can achieve energy conservation and fire safety as co-performance goals.
