Wildfire season is getting longer and more dangerous as the number of communities exposed to wildfires continues to grow each year. This public safety toolkit provides important wildfire prevention and safety tips to share with the media and public.

The wildfire safety toolkit includes:

  • Ready-made news: A completed press release (just fill in your local name/number and spokesperson and email to local media outlets)
  • New and improved infographics (with suggested tweets/posts) that you can share directly through Facebook, Twitter, etc. (using the hashtag #IAFFSafetyTips) or on your local’s website (just right click and save the images below or hold down to save on a phone).
  • A public service announcement (PSA) video that can be shared on social media and your local’s website.
