Inver Grove Heights, MN Local 5251 is one of the first locals to join the IAFF in 2020.
Until 12 years ago when the first full-time fire chief was hired, the Inver Grove Heights Fire Department was an all-volunteer department. Four years ago, the department began hiring full-time fire fighters.
“We are in a period of transition,” says Local 5251 President Paul Rank. “Our fire department is growing because our community is growing. We want to be there as decisions are made about adding resources and any potential changes to the services we provide.”
Joining Rank on the Local 5251 Executive Board are Secretary John Patnaude and Treasurer Joshua Parrow.
