Funding Opportunity: Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Training Program

July 22 • 2021

The American Rescue Plan Act, signed into law by President Biden, included $80 million in funding requested by the IAFF to address suicide, burnout and behavioral health conditions – including substance abuse – among public safety officers and healthcare professionals.

This week, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced it is accepting applications for these funds through the Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Training Program.

Eligible applicants include state and local governments, appropriate public or private nonprofit entities and academic institutions.

For information on this opportunity, visit the grants.gov website or review the instructions here.

Additionally, HRSA will hold pre-application technical assistance (TA) webinar(s) for applicants seeking funding on Thursday, July 22 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. The webinar(s) will provide an overview of pertinent information in the Notice of Funding Opportunity and an opportunity for applicants to ask questions.
