
Celebrations of life for Brother Morrison and Brother Harwood
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the line-of-duty deaths of Battalion Chief John Morrison Jr., Coeur d’Alene Fire Fighters Local 710, and Battalion Chief Frank Harwood, Kootenai County Fire Fighters Local 2856.

Honor Guard and Outside Agencies
* Please complete this form if your Local is attending, participating in Honor Guard or Pipes and Drums, or bringing apparatus. You will receive more information after completing this required form. Law Enforcement should also register using this link by adding your law enforcement agency name and adding “000” for your Local.
All Honor Guard personnel attending the service who have not been assigned a specific role in the ceremonies will be considered “Uniformed Personnel” and be part of the Sea of Blue.
For outside agencies, outside apparatuses will not be included in the service or the procession. If you’re planning to bring your apparatus, please plan on parking on Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive by 10:00 am.

Immediately following Brother Morrison’s service, boat transfers will begin back to Independence Point. There will be visiting personnel gathering points in downtown Couer d’Alene.

Immediately following Brother Harwood’s service, we ask that all members continue the Celebration of Life at the Hagadone Event Center. Boat transfers back to Independence Point will be available immediately following the service and continue through the afternoon.
Transportation
Transportation to the Hagadone Event Center is only by boat, leaving from Independence Point.
HOTELS
Coeur d’Alene is facing a scarcity of hotel accommodations due to an outpouring of support for our fallen brothers. Nearly every available room in the city is filling up quickly, particularly on the dates surrounding the funeral events.
Fortunately, hotels are still available approximately 30 minutes away across the border in Spokane, Washington.
Spokane offers over 150 hotels, ranging from national chains to boutique properties. It’s a practical, accessible alternative – just a short drive along I-90 – and provides a broader range of availability, while still enabling meaningful participation in the funeral activities in Coeur d’Alene.
