Orange County Fire Fighters Contest Benefits Young Cancer Patients

August 25 • 2014

The members of Orange County, FL Local 2057 are hosting their first Fight Together for a Cure T-Shirt Contest to benefit local pediatric cancer units.

Patients at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Florida Hospital for Children and Nemours Children’s Hospital submitted T-shirt designs for judging.

The winning design will be worn by Local 2057 fire fighters for the entire month of October. The top three vote-getters will be made available to the public for purchase on Local 2057’s web site.

“Last year, we raised $11,000 with our pink T-shirt campaign,” says Local 2057 Secretary Scott Egan. “We hope to triple that number this year.”

The contest closes September 1 and the winner will be announced September 3 online.
