The IAFF is welcoming Fairfield Township, OH Local 5276, one if its newest affiliates.
Fairfield Township is a fast-growing community just north of Cincinnati. To accommodate for the increase in emergency services, the fire department is transitioning from part-time to full-time fire fighters.
“As decisions are being made about adding or changing fire department resources and protocols, we wanted to make sure we had a seat at the table. That is why we decided to organize,” says Local 5276 President Scott Smith. “We are looking forward to the process.”
Joining Smith on the Local 5276 Executive Board are Vice President Greg Hoelle, Secretary Kimberly Owens and Treasurer Matthew Metzner.
