Bernalillo, NM Local 5334 is one of the IAFF’s newest affiliates in the 10th District.
Bernalillo is a small town about 18 miles north of Albuquerque. Fire fighters there decided to organize so they could speak with one voice on any future issues impacting the membership and to tap into resources from IAFF and the New Mexico Professional Fire Fighters Association.
“We are already learning a lot from other IAFF locals in New Mexico,” says Local 5334 President Richard Maestas. “The members are looking forward to learning more about what the IAFF has to offer and building a stronger union.”
Joining Maestas on the local’s executive board is Secretary-Treasurer Bryan Picchione.
