IAFF member dues are set by your Local union, not the IAFF. The amount you pay, how often you pay, and how payment is collected varies from Local to Local.

Your Local officers can tell you:

  • How much your dues are

  • How and when to pay

  • What your dues cover at the Local level

What are IAFF per capita payments?

You may hear the term “per capita” in relation to dues. Per capita is a separate payment that your Local makes to the IAFF on behalf of each active member — it is not a direct charge to individual members. For more information, see the article How per capita payments and statements work.
