We operate out of two (2) fire stations (Station 15 & 16), respond to over 4,000 calls per year, are part of MABAS Division 12, have a HazMat Team, and build training and physical fitness into our daily routine.

The Chief of Fire Rescue Services serves as a key member of Hampden Township staff, particularly first responders. The Chief of Fire Rescue Services develops and translates strategic direction and plans into action through the development of policies, leadership, supervision, management, allocation of resources, and innovation for Hampden Township fire rescue services. The Torrance Fire Department is seeking a career-orientated, experienced individual for the position of Senior Fire Prevention Specialist. The Senior Fire Prevention Specialist is directly supervised by the Fire Prevention Supervisor/ Deputy Fire Marshal. The Senior Fire Prevention Specialist conducts inspections; plan checks; and tests hazardous processes and fire protection and extinguishing systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and standards.

The Kelseyville Fire Protection District is looking for both entry level and lateral applicants for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Appointees will be responsible for assuming primary patient care for ALS medical transports, while also cross staffing on fire suppression apparatus and playing a direct role as a Firefighter during fire suppression operations. Kelseyville is located in a wildland urban interface environment with an extensive county wide fire history.

Vacaville Firefighter/Paramedics perform skilled work in emergency fire suppression, emergency medical care, fire prevention, investigation activities, ALS transportation, and other activities that support protecting life and property. Firefighter/Paramedics assume primary responsibility for patient care at the scene of a medical emergency, assist in the maintenance and care of all stations, apparatus, and equipment, and perform other related duties normally associated with the position of a professional Firefighter/Paramedic.

Fire Engineers are responsible for driving and operating fire apparatus, performing skilled fire suppression and prevention activities, and assisting with company readiness under the Fire Captain’s guidance. Core duties include conducting fire prevention inspections of assigned occupancies, testing fire protection equipment, identifying hazardous conditions, and helping train personnel in fire safety procedures and fire code awareness.
