Ocala Fire Rescue seeks fire fighter

Ocala, FL Fire Rescue is currently hiring for one (1) Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic (preferred) positions. Candidates must complete both the FireTEAM and CPAT Testing. Candidates must also fill out the City of Ocala job application. Testing will be continuous until the position is filled.


Salary Information:
Firefighter/EMT: $32,580 - $51,104
Firefigher/Paramedic: $37,553 – $58,381

Department Information: Ocala Fire Rescue is located in central Marion County, Florida, and has a 125 year history of protecting the citizens and visitors to Ocala. Ocala Fire Rescue is over 140 personnel, responding to over 15,500 emergency incidents from six fire stations. Ocala Fire Rescue staffs six ALS Engines, four ALS non-transporting Rescues, one Aerial Tower, one Heavy Squad, and an ARFF vehicle for airport response. Ocala Fire Rescue Special Operations include Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue, Urban Search and Rescue, and SWAT Medic.

City of Clarksburg, WV is accepting applications for fire fighters

The City of Clarksburg, WV is accepting applications for the Firefighter eligibility list. Applications can be obtained at the following locations:

Applications must be completed and returned to the City Clerk's office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012.


REQUIREMENTS:

Be at least 18 years old and not more than 35 years of age on the date of which he/she applies
Have a high school diploma or GED
Be a citizen of the United States
Successfully complete and pass various mandatory examinations (including a physical ability test, competitive written exam, oral interview, background investigation, and medical examination).

NOTE: Once hired, firefighters must establish a permanent residence not to exceed ten (10) air miles from Clarksburg City Hall.

The first phase of the process will be the Written Examination to be conducted on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Harrison County Senior Center, 500 West Main Street, Clarksburg, WV. This exam will be a general aptitude exam.

After July 1, 2012 starting pay for a Probationary Firefighter will be $32,329.00. After the one (1) year probation period, Firefighters will receive an annual salary of $35,199.00.

The City of Morgantown, WV. is currently accepting applications (Word document) to establish a hiring list for the position of firefighter. Agility testing will take place on June 9 and June 16, 2012. Written testing for placement on the eligibility list will take place on June 20, 2012.


Portland, Maine seeking fire fighter/paramedic/EMT

South Portland, Maine Fire Department looking for qualified, motivated, career oriented individuals. Preference will be given for Paramedic applicants. The Department is responsible for Fire, EMS, and Hazmat response. Liberal benefits include: competitive wages, educational and fitness incentives, employee and family medical health insurance, a defined benefit pension through the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, and an annual clothing allowance.

Interested candidates must be 20 years of age on the date of the written examination to be eligible to take the examination, hold a valid operator's license and be a high school graduate or equivalent. Criminal Background Investigation, Job Performance Examination plus other testing will be conducted.

Paramedic applicants will not be required to sit for the written exam, however they are required to take the Physical Agility test at 1:30pm on June 2, 2012 or provide a valid CPAT card that is not more than 180 days old. Non-Paramedic applicants also have the option of providing a valid CPAT card not more than 180 days old or taking the physical agility test on June 2, 2012 at 1:30pm.
