City of Monroe, OH seeking Fire Fighter/Paramedic/EMT

The City of Monroe, OH is accepting applications for the full time position of Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT. Applications may be obtained Mon-Fri from 8 am to 5 pm at the City Building, 233 South Main Street, Monroe, Ohio. Deadline for submitting completed applications and required documentation is Monday, August 25, 2014 at 5 pm. A non- returnable $10 fee is required for all applications.. Checks made payable to "City of Monroe." Salary is $38,680.68 to $60,377.91. Applications submitted after the deadline WILL NOT be accepted.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of the written examination and no person may apply for or receive an original appointment if that person has attained the age of 35.

All applicants must have a valid Ohio driver's license, possess a high school diploma or equivalency (GED), 240 or equivalent Professional Firefighter Certification, and Ohio EMT or Paramedic Certification. Documentation reflecting these requirements MUST be submitted with the application. If you do not have all of the documentation when the application is submitted you WILL NOT be permitted to take the test.

A written examination will be held in the Community Room located at 6 East Avenue, Monroe, Ohio. The examination will begin at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014. All candidates must be on time and have a valid photo ID (i.e. driver's license) to gain admittance into the testing room. LATE ARRIVALS OR CANDIDATES WITHOUT A VALID ID WILL NOT BE ADMITTED. Applicants upon passing (minimum 70%) the written test will receive: Military credit of 10% with DD-214 showing an honorable discharge. Training credit of 10% for valid Ohio Paramedic Certification. Training Credit of 5% for Ohio EMT-I Certification. All documentation must accompany the application.

Lee's Summit, Missouri is seeking Fire Fighters

The City of Lee's Summit in Missouri is seeking qualified applicants to establish an eligibility list for the position of Fire Fighter. Two Recruitment Open Houses will be held at Lee's Summit Fire Department Headquarters, 207 SE Douglas Street, Lee's Summit, MO. The first Open House is Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM. The second Open House is Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 9:00AM until 1:00PM. (Application forms can be completed at these events.)

Salary
Starting salary is currently $3,135 per month. An additional $4,000/year incentive is available to those with Missouri EMT-P license.

Requirements
Minimum qualifications are high school diploma or certificate of equivalency, 18 years of age at time of application, valid state drivers' license, and in good physical condition as generally outlined in NFPA 1582 – "Medical Requirements for Fire Fighters." Current certification as Fire Fighter I, Fire Fighter II, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations preferred. Prefer minimum licensure as a State of Missouri EMT-B or National Registry of EMT's certification as an EMT, with preference for current licensure as a Missouri EMT-P or current National Registry as a Paramedic, but not required.

Anderson Township, OH Fire and Rescue Department seeking fire fighters and paramedics

The Anderson Township, OH Fire and Rescue Department are recruiting career fire fighters/ paramedics for immediate employment.
