The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Emergency Services department as a Fire Prevention Officer.

Under the direction of the Fire Chief, this FLSA exempt, non-affiliated position is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing the internal operations of the department. Performs administration, personnel, managerial and command functions, as assigned.

This position serves as a proactive leader in the implementation of strategic risk reduction through education, engineering solutions, enforcement of codes and ordinances, and coordination of emergency response planning. The Arson Investigator/Fire Inspector is expected to be a dynamic communicator, project manager, and community liaison, with a strong emphasis on public engagement, partnership development, and educational outreach. Fire and EMS duties may be assigned during periods of extreme call volume, large-scale incidents, or disasters.

Under the general direction of the General Manager of Protective Services, reporting to the Fire Chief or designate, and stationed out of assigned station, the Lieutenant is responsible for the operational readiness of their assigned station. The position is responsible for reporting all activity, and the need for specific training based on operational requirements to the assigned Captain. The position also fills the role of Truck Officer during emergency response as required.

The Brooklyn Park Fire Department is seeking an experienced, progressive, and motivated career fire service leader for its next Deputy Chief of Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong fire service background and experience as a full-time Battalion Chief, District Chief, Division Chief, or higher operational level position in a career-staffed fire department. This position will protect Metro-North Railroad’s employees, customers, tenants, equipment, and infrastructure from injury, damage, and loss by maintaining a comprehensive & proactive fire/life safety program, responding to and mitigating fire/rescue/hazardous materials incidents, providing pre-hospital emergency medical services, and by working with both internal and external forces to safely and efficiently minimize service disruptions. Marathon Petroleum’s Robinson, Illinois refinery is seeking full-time Shift Emergency Response Officers (Fire & Rescue). Position reports to the IRD Fire Chief and is responsible for refinery fire prevention/protection, emergency response to incidents (fire, medical or other), emergency response equipment inspections, and other associated inspections of emergency equipment.
