The winner in the 2021 IAFF Best Pink T-Shirt Contest for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is Prince George’s County, MD Local 1619 with 1,652 votes. Local 1619 was among the 94 locals that submitted entries.
The winning T-shirt was originally designed by Local 1619 member Brian Garner.
“Protecting our members from cancer is a leading cause for fire fighters,” says Local 1619 President Andrew Pantelis. “Women in the fire service are at a much greater risk for breast cancer than the normal population. It’s through efforts like our Pink T-Shirt Contest that we raise awareness and work to find a cure!”
The winning affiliate receives a free registration to the 2022 Affiliate Leadership Training Summit/Human Relations Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
