Registration for the 35th IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial, scheduled for September 18, 2021, is now open. Families and locals with members who will be honored will receive additional information in the coming days. Families should book flights and hotels prior to registering for the Memorial observance, which will pay tribute to members lost in the line of duty in 2019 and 2020.
We continue to monitor COVID-19 restrictions and are in regular communication with Colorado Springs Local 5 as we continue planning for an in-person event. In addition, our Canadian District Vice Presidents and local leadership are actively engaging families to determine their participation and provide updates regarding COVID-19 travel, border restrictions and health concerns.
More COVID-19 guidance is available on the Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial website. We strongly recommend that all participants be fully vaccinated to attend and, if not vaccinated, we strongly recommend that you wear a mask.
