The North Central Fire District, which serves Kerman, Biola and the unincorporated areas of Fresno in central California, is among the newest to form a new IAFF local.
Local 5260 members currently cover 230 square miles from four fire stations. A fifth station is expected to be built in the next few years.
The 36 members of Local 5260 decided to organize to help establish a labor-management relationship and work together
“We hope that by opening up this direct line of communication we can work together on improving fire department procedures and the emergency services we provide to the community,” says Local 5260 President Jonathan McManus.
Joining President McManus on the Executive Board are Vice President Robert Gonzalez, Secretary Corey Cason and Treasurer Timothy England.
