The IAFF is welcoming its newest North Dakota affiliate, West Fargo Local 5307.
To address growing call volume, the West Fargo Fire Department began adding full-time professional fire fighters to its personnel three years ago. The department currently has 12 career fire fighters.
“We decided now was the time to organize so that we could have a seat at the table as decisions are being made about the future of our department,” says Local 5307 President Joseph Johnson. “The IAFF has the resources and educational opportunities we need as we move forward.”
Joining Johnson on the Local 5307 Executive Board are Vice President Jason Carriveau and Secretary-Treasurer Brandon Gaugler.
