Memphis, TN Local 1784 demonstrated its continued commitment to the community by donating $25,000 to the Firefighters Burn Center at Regional One Health. The Memphis Fire Fighters Association (MFFA) Foundation contributes 100 percent of the proceeds from its annual golf tournament. This year was a record-setting year, thanks to the support of Nationwide Insurance and its participants.

The Burn Center at Regional One Health treats more than 400 patients annually and is a premier center for burn survivors in the mid-South region.

“Even during this tough political time, we continue to support our community and this great Burn Center that’s very near and dear to our hearts,” says Thomas Malone, chair of the MFFA Foundation and president of Local 1784. “We’re proud to have such a great facility here in Memphis and we want to assure that the staff here has access to the training, supplies and equipment they need to continue to provide the high level of care they’ve been giving for years. With the support of Nationwide Insurance and our other sponsors, we expect this fundraiser to grow every year.”
