Yes. Contributions to FIREPAC are entirely voluntary.

IAFF members are not required to contribute to FIREPAC as a condition of membership. Choosing whether to participate is a personal decision.

How FIREPAC contributions work

FIREPAC is funded through voluntary contributions from IAFF members who choose to support political advocacy efforts.

Contributions:

  • Are separate from union dues

  • Are used in accordance with applicable election and campaign finance laws

  • Support candidates and policies that advance public safety and protect fire fighters and emergency medical workers
