Yes. Contributions to FIREPAC are entirely voluntary.
IAFF members are not required to contribute to FIREPAC as a condition of membership. Choosing whether to participate is a personal decision.
How FIREPAC contributions work
FIREPAC is funded through voluntary contributions from IAFF members who choose to support political advocacy efforts.
Contributions:

Are separate from union dues

Are used in accordance with applicable election and campaign finance laws

Support candidates and policies that advance public safety and protect fire fighters and emergency medical workers
