Harvard Trade Union Program Scholarship

The Harvard Trade Union Program (HTUP) is a five-week, in-residence executive training program held on the Harvard University campus.

Designed for a diverse group of union leaders, the program provides essential leadership skills and explores key issues shaping today’s labor movement. Its seminar-based curriculum connects participants with Harvard faculty and senior labor leaders.

Three scholarships will be awarded to IAFF members living in the United States and in good standing with their Local affiliate. Applicants must demonstrate active involvement with their Local as an officer, committee member, or similar leadership capacity.

The 2025 HTUP application period is closed. The application period for the 2026 program is TBD.

  • Submit the application form, along with:
    • A brief statement of 250 words or more on how you have demonstrated active participation in your Local.
