Jeannette, PA Local 78 fire fighters, with the support of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association (PPFFA), campaigned successfully to prevent a proposed referendum to abolish the professional fire department in favor of unpaid volunteers from appearing off the November ballot. “I am very proud of the hard work by our members in Jeannette,” says PPFFA President Art Martynuska. “They moved quickly and earned great public support to defeat this dangerous ballot initiative.”
