PRESS RELEASE: Idaho Firefighters Honor Fallen Brothers

COEUR D’ALENE, IDAHO – Today, the fire chiefs of the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, as well as the presidents of Local 710 and Local 2856, announced the names of those lost during the ambush attack in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, yesterday.

Brother Morrison was hired by the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department in 1996, rising to the rank of Battalion Chief. Morrison was a devoted husband, father, son, friend, and avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was 52 years old.

Brother Harwood was hired by the Kootenai County Fire Rescue in 2007, rising to the rank of Battalion Chief. He was a father, husband, son, and friend. He was 42 years old.  

The group also spoke about Coeur d’Alene Fire Department Engineer and Local 710 member Dave Tysdal, who is currently in critical condition after sustaining gunshot wounds during yesterday’s attack. Brother Tysdal has been with the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department since 2002.
