January 30 marked one year since an auto shop fire injured four Greensboro fire fighters. Fire Chief Greg Grayson said three of the four men have recovered and are back on fire trucks. “I think we move forward from that day and became a better department. We were just very blessed that everyone did eventually come home,” Chief Grayson said. The man who received the worst injuries, Captain Thomas ‘Sterling’ Suddarth, has been on “light duty” since May.
