\u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>Le PSOB est administr\u00e9 par le d\u00e9partement de la Justice des \u00c9tats-Unis et est distinct du M\u00e9morial des pompiers tomb\u00e9s de l\u2019IAFF.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p id=\"cover\"><strong>Le PSOB couvre-t-il l\u2019invalidit\u00e9?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div dus au cancer professionnel sont-ils couverts?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>Oui.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>Avec l\u2019adoption de la Loi sur l\u2019honneur de nos h\u00e9ros tomb\u00e9s, le cancer professionnel est d\u00e9sormais reconnu comme un d\u00e9c\u00e8s en service en vertu du PSOB lorsque les exigences f\u00e9d\u00e9rales sont remplies. Cela permet aux familles survivantes admissibles de se qualifier pour des prestations f\u00e9d\u00e9rales de d\u00e9c\u00e8s et d\u2019\u00e9ducation. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p id=\"cancers\"><strong>Quels cancers sont inclus dans la loi?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>La loi d\u00e9finit le \u00ab cancer li\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019exposition \u00bb comme incluant les cancers suivants :<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vessie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cerveau<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poitrine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cervical<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>C\u00f4lon \/ colorectal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u0152sophagien<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rein<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leuc\u00e9mie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lung<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M\u00e9lanome malin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M\u00e9soth\u00e9liome<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>My\u00e9lome multiple<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lymphome non hodgkinien<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ovaire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prostate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peau<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estomac<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Testiculaire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thyro\u00efde<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>La loi couvre \u00e9galement :<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tout cancer reconnu comme une condition de sant\u00e9 li\u00e9e au World Trade Center, et<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tout cancer suppl\u00e9mentaire qui pourrait \u00eatre ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019avenir selon le processus \u00e9tabli par la loi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p id=\"conditions\"><strong>Quelles conditions doivent \u00eatre remplies pour que la pr\u00e9somption de cancer s\u2019applique?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>La pr\u00e9somption s\u2019applique lorsque tout ce qui suit est vrai :<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>L\u2019exposition s\u2019est produite alors que le pompier \u00e9tait en action ou activit\u00e9 en service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le pompier a servi comme agent de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 publique pendant au moins cinq ans avant le diagnostic de cancer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le diagnostic de cancer a \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9 au plus de 15 ans apr\u00e8s la derni\u00e8re date de service actif du pompier<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le cancer li\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019exposition a directement et imm\u00e9diatement entra\u00een\u00e9 la mort ou l\u2019incapacit\u00e9 permanente et totale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>Toutes les demandes sont examin\u00e9es par le minist\u00e8re de la Justice dans le cadre du processus de r\u00e9clamation PSOB.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p id=\"previous\"><strong>Les d\u00e9c\u00e8s ant\u00e9rieurs li\u00e9s au cancer sont-ils couverts?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>Oui, dans certains cas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>Les dispositions sur le cancer s\u2019appliquent aux demandes de d\u00e9c\u00e8s li\u00e9es au cancer li\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019exposition \u00e0 partir du 1er janvier 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>La loi permet \u00e9galement aux individus de d\u00e9poser une r\u00e9clamation pour cancer PSOB dans les trois ans suivant l\u2019adoption de la loi, m\u00eame si la demande aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 trop tardive autrement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p id=\"today\"><strong>J\u2019ai une r\u00e9clamation pour un cancer du PSOB. Puis-je la d\u00e9poser aujourd\u2019hui? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">\n<p>Bien que la Loi sur l\u2019honneur de nos h\u00e9ros tomb\u00e9s soit promulgu\u00e9e, <strong>les dispositions sur le cancer ne sont pas encore en vigueur.<\/strong> Le minist\u00e8re de la Justice doit compl\u00e9ter des \u00e9tapes suppl\u00e9mentaires de mise en \u0153uvre avant que les demandes de cancer du PSOB puissent \u00eatre accept\u00e9es.
