Activities for the 25th annual IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial begins Wednesday, concluding with a memorial service Saturday in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

With the tenth remembrance of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks still fresh, this year’s fallen fire fighter memorial service will be especially poignant.

The Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial was created in 1976 and since its founding through June of last year – the names of 2,410 IAFF members have been engraved into the wall of honor located behind the memorial.
