NIOSH has just updated their website to include detailed health and safety information on the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster.  The US Department of Homeland Security has also created a website with real time updates on all response and clean up operations.  These sites provide pertinent information for all responders as well as numerous links to up-to-date resources.  The IAFF will continue to monitor this disaster and work to ensure that our members are protected if called to assist.  We ask that local IAFF affiliates keep their IAFF District Vice President informed of any significant involvement by their members if they respond to this spill disaster.
