This week, the American Legislative Exchange Council is hosting its annual meeting in San Diego, California.

The meeting will bring together corporate lobbyists and the likes of Wisconsin governor Scott Walker to network and discuss laws to crush workers.

In addition, we’ve cautioned members about a new ALEC offshoot – the American City County Exchange (ACCE) – that will be meeting in San Diego as well.

ACCE is pushing cities and counties to pass Right to Work ordinances to help advance the interests of big business.

The group is expected to officially adopt a local Right to Work model bill.

In addition, ALEC and ACCE are pushing measures with local officials to accept state pre-emption laws that would leave constituents with no protection from harmful policies affecting their health and economic well-being.

So keep guard against those who are doing their best curb your power.
