IAFF Fire Fighter to Be Featured on
TRCP's "Escape to the Wild"
December
18, 2006 -- Brad Cummings, a member of Downer's Grove, IL
Local 3234, won the adventure of a lifetime in an "Escape to
the Wild" contest sponsored by the Theodore Roosevelt
Conservation Partnership (TRCP) and Versus (formerly OLN)
Television.
Cummings joined TRCP's "Escape to the Wild" host Marc Pierce
for an all-expenses-paid waterfowl hunting trip in Alberta, Canada. His
adventure will air on Versus in February 2007.
"Escape to the Wild" is part of a cooperative effort between
a coalition of AFL-CIO unions, including the IAFF, Versus Television and
TRCP. In May, Rocky Raimondi, a member of the Uniformed Firefighters
Association of New York Local 94, became the first to win the
all-expenses-paid trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for his dream fishing
expedition.
More than 400 entries were submitted by union members to win
an "Escape to the Wild" adventure.
