IAFF-MG Charter Membership Closes September 15

September 15, 2005 – September 15 is the last day to join the IAFF Motorcycle Group as a charter member. The IAFF-MG was created following the passage of a resolution at the 47th Biennial Convention in Boston, Massachusetts. The goal of the IAFF-MG is to promote fraternalism among IAFF members who are also motorcycle enthusiasts.

The first official event was held on June 26 when General President Harold Schaitberger led an inaugural ride of nearly 1,000 IAFF members through Nevada’s Mt. Charleston. The ride was held in conjunction with the IAFF EMS Conference in Las Vegas.

The IAFF Motorcycle Group is open to active, retired and alumni members who own and ride motorcycles – preferably those made with union labor employed by a North America-owned and operated company.
