Join Trenton Fire Fighters for the Andy Ross Motorcycle
Ride
June 4, 2007 -- Join 8th District IAFF-MG members and the Trenton, Michigan,
Fire and Police Departments for the 7th Annual Andy Ross Charity Motorcycle Ride
June 16, 2007. The ride is dedicated in memory of Andy Ross, a Trenton fire
fighter who lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident on July 21, 2000.
Proceeds from the ride benefit the Trenton Firefighters Charities Fund, which
provides grants, donations and scholarships for members of the community.
In 2006, more than 800 motorcycles participated, raising $25,000. In the last
six years, the ride has raised more than $150,000.
The 2007 Andy Ross Motorcycle Ride begins at Elizabeth Park in Trenton at 11:15
a.m., with the motorcycles taking off at 12:00 p.m. for the 45-mile ride to
Milan Dragway. Bikers will return via a different route. Once back at Elizabeth
Park, riders are treated to a delicious barbeque meal.
For riders traveling from a distance, the Trenton Parks Department has arranged
for riders to trailer their bikes and park behind the Kennedy Ice Arena on West
Road. From there, it’s only a short distance to Elizabeth Park.
