Eighth Annual Andy Ross Charity
Motorcycle Ride
March 26, 2008 -- Join 8th District IAFF-MG
members and the Trenton, Michigan, Fire and Police
Departments for the 8th Annual Andy Ross Charity Motorcycle
Ride June 14, 2008. The ride is dedicated in memory of Andy
Ross, a Trenton fire fighter who lost his life in a tragic
motorcycle accident on July 21, 2000. Proceeds from the ride
benefit the Trenton Firefighters Charities Fund, which
provides grants, donations and scholarships for members of
the community.
The 2008 Andy Ross Motorcycle Ride begins at Elizabeth Park in
Trenton at 12:00 p.m. Registration is 9:30-11:30 a.m. Before May 24, 2008,
registration fee is $30 per rider/$55 with passenger. After May 24, fees
increase to $40 and $65, respectively. The ride is with police escort, with a
halfway stop at Milan Dragway for refreshments. The return ride is through
several of the scenic Huron Metroparks. All participants receive a T-shirt and
pin.
Upon return to Elizabeth Park, riders will enjoy a delicious pig
roast dinner. Prior to the ride, for $6, bikers can join staff and other riders
for breakfast at Buster's Place, W Jefferson and Vreeland Road. All proceeds
benefit the Andy Ross Charity Ride.
An after-party will be held at Slip Mahoney's, Fort St. in
Riverview.
