Orange County Local Participate in Love Ride 22
February 7, 2006 – Members of Orange County, CA Local 3631
donned their IAFF-MG colors for the first time in November
for a Love Ride 22 charity event in Glendale, California.

members and IAFF-MG charter members Don Hays, Kevin Tuohy
and Curt Passow sport the IAFF-MG colors.
Many Local 3631 members enjoy riding, but
Don Hays, Kevin Tuohy and Curt Passow were the first to
receive their IAFF-MG colors.
“This event is just one of many in which we
plan to show our IAFF pride,” says Tuohy. “Love Ride 22 was
an incredible ride and a great place to debut our colors. As
more and more of our members become Motorcycle Group
members, the more visible we will be.”
More than 22,000 bikers participated in the
Love Ride 22 charity event and trade show. With proceeds
from the entry fees benefiting the Love Ride Foundation and
many riders raising money, nearly $1.5 million was raised.
Led by Grand Marshall Jay Leno, riders
traversed a route north along Interstate 5 to Castaic Lake
in time for a concert featuring the legendary BB King and
Jack Mack and the Heart Attack. Other celebrities, including
Peter Fonda, Willie ‘G’ Davidson, Robert Patrick, Adrian
Pasdar, Fred Durst, George Gray, The Teutuls (from Orange
County Choppers), Kevin Rahm, Lorenzo Lamas and Branscombe
Richmond, participated to show their support.
The Love Ride Foundation distributes funds
to more than 20 charities, including Reading by 9, the
Muscular Dystrophy Association, Special Olympics, the
American Diabetes Association, the Autism Society and many
more.
The Love Ride is held every second Sunday in
November. The next ride is scheduled for November 12, 2006;
however, Local 3631 members will next show their IAFF-MG
colors at Nevada’s Laughlin Bike Week in April.
