Boston Fire Fighters Collect at NBA Playoff Games

27, 2008 - Members of Boston, MA Local 718 Engine 4/Ladder 24 have pride, and
it’s not just for the Celtics! Members of E4/L24 Groups 1 and 2 conducted a
Fill-the-Boot drive outside the entrance to the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston
for Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Playoffs. Boston fans were feeling generous –
helping Local 718 raise $1,500 in under three hours!
The
1,600-plus members of Boston Local 718 work hard all summer long to become the
highest fundraising local in Massachusetts, raising more than $55,000 for MDA
last year alone.
