June 10, 2008 - In recognition of IAFF locals’ commitment to raising money for Jerry’s Kids in 2007, MDA hosted an MDA boot camp at Caesars Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in conjunction with the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey (PFANJ) convention May 29.

Approximately 14 IAFF affiliates attended the boot camp, along with PFANJ President Keith Kemery and IAFF 1st District Vice President Kevin Gallagher. Guest speaker Captain Peter Kearney, a member of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association (UFOA) Local 854 addressed the membership on behalf of his son, Kevin, who is diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
