May 21, 2008 - The Third Annual Rhode Island MDA/IAFF Boot Camp took place April 14, 2008, at the Radisson in Warwick, Rhode Island. Eleven locals were in attendance, along with Rhode Island Association of Fire Fighters Executive Board Chairman Joseph Andriole. Rhode Island IAFF members were recognized for their outstanding support of MDA in 2007, which totaled $215,935. Speakers included members from North Providence Local 2334, as well as Joseph Andriole, who discussed the importance of all IAFF members supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Awards were given to the Highest Fundraising Local, New/Restored and Double Club. North Providence Local 2334 took the top award for the highest fundraising local, raising $31,000 in 2007.
