Cocoa, FL Local 2416 had to reschedule their Fill-the-Boot drive to November
due to hurricanes. They collected more than $8,900 in 2004, an increase of
$1,230 since last year.

Florida Ice Hockey Promotes Safety Raises
Money
An Ice Hockey Tournament, organized by Central Florida Fire
Fighters Hockey Club (CFFFHC), raised $2,200 for MDA. Participants included
fire fighter teams from New York, New York, Windsor, Ontario, Bangor, Maine,
Boston, Massachusetts, Fort Worth, Texas, Columbus, Ohio, and Fairfax
County, Virginia and more. The final face off was between FDNY and the
CFFFHC team.

Colorado Spring Doubles Up for MDA
Colorado Springs, CO Local 5 members broke their own record by raising over
$62,000 for MDA in 2003. They had collected around $37,000 in 2002. Fire
Fighters spent their labor day filling the boot around the city and hosted a
kick-off night in downtown Colorado Springs. In the picture are Local 5
members, MDA kids and emcees from KOAA-TV at the 2003 Jerry Lewis MDA
Telethon in Colorado Springs.
