It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Captain Brian Heaton of IAFF Local 536 – Brockville, Ontario. Brother Heaton, 63, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2010 from cancer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, Ontario K6V 1R2, (613) 342-2792. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m..

Brian served proudly and honourably as a Fireman for over 25 years; first volunteering with the Athens Fire Department and then serving full time with the Brockville Fire Department until his retirement as a Captain in 2006
