INGREDIENTS

1 cup uncooked rolled oats
⅔ cup non-fat dry milk
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
1 dash ground allspice
¼ cup raisins
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
¾ tsp. almond extract
RECIPE

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together oats, dry milk, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
  • Stir in raisins.
  • In separate small bowl, mix together applesauce, sugar, vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Add to dry mixture, mixing until all ingredients are moistened.
  • Spoon in to prepared baking pan, smooth top with back of spoon.
  • Bake 30 minutes, until lightly browned. Be careful not to overcook.
  • Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into 12 bars.
