INGREDIENTS

1 pkg. (18.25 oz.) marble cake mix
1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry flavored gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 (1.3 oz.) envelope whipped topping mix
1 pkg. (3.5 oz.) instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups skim milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
  fresh strawberries, sliced (optional)
RECIPE

  • Prepare and bake the marble cake as directed on the box.
  • Using a fork, poke holes in the cooled cake.
  • Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Pour the gelatin over the cake. Refrigerate for 2½ hours.
  • Combine the whipped topping, vanilla pudding, milk and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer on high for 3-5 minutes. Frosting should be thick enough to spread over cake.
  • Frost cake. If desired, add sliced strawberries to decorate top of cake.
