INGREDIENTS

½ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
¾ cup margarine
2 egg whites or ½ cup egg substitute
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt (optional)
1 cup dried cherries
RECIPE

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a medium bowl, cream together the brown sugar, white sugar, and margarine. Add egg whites. Mix well.
  • In another bowl, stir together the flour, wheat flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to sugar mixture. Mix well.
  • Fold in dried cherries.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoon onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-13 minutes.
