INGREDIENTS

1 cup water
½ cup rolled oats
  dash of salt (optional)
¼ cup applesauce
  pinch of cinnamon
2 tsp. brown sugar
RECIPE

  • Pour the water, oats, and salt (optional) into a medium sized pot.
  • Heat the mixture until it boils. Reduce heat to low.
  • Using a wooden spoon, stir in the applesauce and cinnamon.
  • Continue to cook and stir over low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Pour the oatmeal into a bowl. Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
