INGREDIENTS

1/2 pound lean gound beef
1 can refrigerated pizza crust or your own dough
1/4 cup pizza sauce
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped red pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms (if desired)
1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
  cooking spray
RECIPE

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Brown ground beef in skillet, crumble, drain, and set aside.
  • Spray baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Press dough on baking sheet to 12X8 inch rectangle.
  • Spread sauce over dough to within 2 inches of long sides and 1/2 inch of short sides.
  • Sprinkle ground beef, then pepper,onions, and mushrooms down middle of dough with cheese and Italian seasoning.
  • Fold long sides of dough over filling pressing edges to seal.
  • Brush with beaten egg, if desired, sprinkle more seasoning on top.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
