INGREDIENTS

1 package Pilsbury refrigerated pizza dough
1/2 c pizza sauce
3/4 c shredded low fat mozzarella cheese
8 oz sliced mushrooms
1/2 chopped sweet onion
1/2 chopped red peppers
1 tsp Italian seasoning
RECIPE

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Sauté onions, peppers and mushrooms in olive oil until tender, set aside.
  • Spray baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Roll out dough to 13 x 9 inch rectangle.
  • Spread pizza sauce down middle of dough leaving 3 inch border on sides.
  • Sprinkle veggies down middle on top of sauce and then top with cheese and Italian seasoning.
  • Fold over one side of dough to hold toppings, then fold other side up and over the other side.
  • Seal edges well.
  • Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water in small bowl and brush all over dough, sprinkle with additional Italian seasoning if desired.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Make sure to check underneath that dough has cooked there as well, if not, cover top loosely with foil and continue baking until crisp on bottom.
  • Slide on to wire rack immediately to let cool just a bit before slicing.
