INGREDIENTS

2 (9 inch) pie crust
6-7 large apples, peeled, cored, sliced
1/2 cup fruit sweetener (1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate plus 1/4 cup granulated fructose)
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp margarine
RECIPE

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line pie bottom with 1-9" pie crust.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the margarine. Mix well so that apples are well coated.
  • Spoon apple mixture into the pastry. Sprinkle with margarine.
  • Cover with the second 9" pie crust. Seal and flute the edges. Cut a few small slits into the top of the crust.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
