INGREDIENTS

1 lb 94% lean ground turkey
1 cup firmly packed baby spinach (1 oz), chopped
1 tbsp Italian classics seasoned bread crumbs
1 1/2 oz crumbled feta, about 1/2 cup
1/4 tsp oregano leaves
1/2 tsp cracked pepper blend
1 tsp olive oil
4 tbsp roasted red pepper hummus, divided
4 leaves red leaf lettuce
1 small cucumber, cut into 12 thin slices
4 "Food You Feel Good About" 100% whole wheat pitas, slit horizontally
RECIPE

  • Preheat grill on high 10 min.
  • Combine ground turkey, baby spinach, bread crumbs, feta, oregano, cracked pepper, and olive oil in mixing bowl. Form into 4 burgers.
  • Using soft cloth, coat grill grate lightly with vegetable oil. Place burgers on grill. Reduce heat to medium.
  • Sear burgers on grill 2 min, until they have changed color about one-quarter of way up from bottom. Turn over; sear 2-3 min. Turn again; reduce heat to medium or low. Close lid.
  • Cook about 10 min until internal temp reaches 165 degrees (check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of burgers). Transfer to clean platter; set aside.
  • Top each burger with 1 Tbsp red pepper hummus, red leaf lettuce, and 3 slices thinly sliced cucumber. Place in pitas and enjoy!
