INGREDIENTS

1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 c. margarine
  egg substitute equivalent to 1 egg
1/2 tsp. imitation butter flavoring
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. unsalted dry roasted chopped pecans
RECIPE

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 8” square baking pan with nonfat cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and margarine together.
  • Add egg substitute and extracts. Blend well.
  • In another bowl, sift flour and baking powder together. Add to margarine mixture and blend well. Stir in nuts.
  • Spread evenly into prepared pan. Bake 20 – 25 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into 32 bars.
