For Canadian Affiliates

Last year, IAFF Canadian affiliates raised close to $55,000 to battle breast cancer across the nation. IAFF has partnered once again with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Canadian locals are invited to participate in the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, scheduled for October 6, 2013. At this event, Canadian affiliates can run or walk 5k or 1k, register a run team under the IAFF national team, staff a water station at a local CIBC Run for the Cure event or organize a pink T-shirt campaign. However, please be aware that due to trademark restrictions, pink T-shirts and other fundraising merchandise cannot use CBCF logos or slogans.

To register your team for Run for the Cure, click here. IAFF members can sign up under the team name "International Association of Fire Fighters" (be sure to search for the full name when registering; do not use the abbreviation "IAFF").

For information on how to be a team captain, or if you have already registered and want to join the IAFF national team, contact Jennifer Wong at Team captains have access to the team page and can make personalized updates, as well as track fundraising in their local areas.
