HOTEL & GROUND TRANSPORTATION

The Hilton Chicago has been selected as the Redmond Symposium hotel.

The hotel room rates for the Redmond Symposium are:

$249/Single or Double, $259/Triple, $269/Quad rooms plus tax.  Limited rooms have been reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. You may reserve rooms by:

  • Registering for the symposium electronically, found at the Redmond Registration site and at the end of the registration you will be sent directly to the IAFF Redmond Housing link where you can make your room reservations online.
     

  • Calling the Hilton Chicago reservation number at (877) 865-5320 (toll-free) or (312) 922-4400.

The hotel reservation cutoff date is September 12, 2007.  All reservations made after the cut-off are on a space available basis at prevailing room rates.  To confirm a room assignment, the hotel will require a first night’s deposit, refundable up to 72 hours in advance of your arrival.  Checks and major credit cards are acceptable to establish prepayment.  All credit cards used to prepay will be charged immediately.

   Hotel Parking  

The Hilton Chicago offers parking on premise.  Self-parking is $41.00 per day; valet parking is $45.00 per day.

   Hotel Check-In and Check-Out  

Hotel check-in is 3:00 p.m. and checkout is 11:00 a.m.  All guests arriving before 3:00 p.m. will be accommodated as rooms become available.  Hilton Chicago Hotel Guest Service Department can arrange to check luggage for those guest arriving early when rooms are not available and for guests attending functions on departure day.  The Hilton Chicago offers Kiosk check-in and check-out as a convenience to their guests. 

   Airport and Transportation  Information  

When taking public transportation from O'Hare International Airport:

  • Take CTA BLUE LINE TRAIN (TO 54th/CERMAK) to JACKSON/DEARBORN.

  • Take CTA BUS #7 HARRISON EASTBOUND to CONGRESS PLAZA & MICHIGAN.

  • Walk 0.1 mile S to 720 MICHIGAN AVENUE, address of the Hilton Chicago.

Cab fare is approximately $45.00 one way and drive time can range from 45 minutes to an hour.

When taking public transportation from Midway Airport:

  • Take CTA ORANGE LINE TRAIN (ORANGE LINE - CLOCKWISE) to STATE/VAN BUREN CTA (BROWN/ORANGE/PURPLE).

  • Take CTA BUS #62 ARCHER SOUTHBOUND from VAN BUREN & STATE.

  • Arrive:  BALBO & STATE.  Walk 0.2 mile E to 720 MICHIGAN AVENUE, address of the Hilton Chicago.

Cab fare is approximately $35.00 one way and drive time is approximately 35-45 minutes.
