Partnership Education Program Assisted Seminars
The Partnership Education Program (PEP) Assisted Seminar option provides one day of customized training to be presented in conjunction with the state or provincial annual meeting. The IAFF provides the instructors, curriculum and supplies needed for the training at no cost to the state or provincial association.
In this program, the state and provincial associations can choose up to three workshops (two hours each) on a variety of topics to fill one day of instruction. The curriculum is designed to meet the educational needs of leaders who work in both collective bargaining and non-collective bargaining environments. These workshops focus on the skills required in union administration including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance handling, political action, public relations, budgeting, etc.
For FY 2009/2010, sixteen (16) assisted seminar requests have been received and processed.

Seminar Subsidies
With this option, the IAFF provides financial assistance to state and provincial associations to support their annual seminars. We provide the supplies needed for training plus a subsidy of $20 per participant per day (up to a maximum of three days) during any one-year period. The state or provincial association is responsible for supplying the instructors, curriculum, agenda, the facility, and all other administrative details.
If you are interested in requesting a seminar subsidy for your state or provincial association, please contact
