Harvard University Trade Union Program Scholarship

Purpose:
This scholarship is awarded to IAFF members in good standing with an IAFF Local Affiliate to attend the Harvard University Trade Union Program.

Application Deadline: July 1

Amount of Scholarship: $1,000 plus cost of tuition

Award Dates:
Scholarships are awarded annually for the upcoming six-week session. Winners will be notified by September 30.

Selection Criteria:
Awards are given to members who have demonstrated active participation within their IAFF local affiliate as an officer, committee member, etc.

How to Apply:
Applications must include:

• A completed Scholarship Application Form.
• A short statement (about 500 words) on one of the following topics:
  • Your personal interest in attending the Harvard University Trade Union Program.
  • What do you consider to be the major problems facing the labor movement in the United States today?
  • What do you consider to be the major problems facing the Fire Fighter in the Labor Union movement today?
